Machine Learning Challenge

Four teams from the University of Amsterdam have presented their results from the Machine Learning Challenge today. They have worked on deeper analysis of historical incidents in one of the Dutch regions. The analysis methods were formulated according to scientific standards and were investigated by applying the most recent machine learning techniques. The results were quite promising and some of them will be applied by Stokhos to further improve the performance of our algorithm. We will analyze the next phase via internships, that will be posted soon. We are very happy with the results and thank all the teams for their efforts.

The UvA Machine Learning Challenge is a Master Challenge for AI students. Companies posted cases for 32 student teams. As to dr. Iris Groen, coordinator of the challenge put it: “Your challenge was the most popular out of all challenges submitted.”
