WHO WE ARE

SECONDS 2.0 is developed by Stokhos b.v. a national mathematics research institute spin-off with a track record in the Dutch Emergency services domain.

Our clients, large EMS providers, have shown a sustained reduction in response time, even in the stressed Covid 19 period ->1 minute reduced average response time, with an average 7% reduction in vehicles.

SECONDS is extensively tested in simulations in numerous regions as well as in active operations in regions in both the Netherlands and Germany.

Timely operations are key in case of severe incidents. Delays and late arrivals lead to increased mortality and healthcare costs (complications and extended recoveries) and diminished patient wellbeing. In addition, longer driving and response times prolong the "busy" status of a vehicle and therewith reduce the availability factor of the response system.

Simulations in eight regions showed an equivalent combined need for 25 ambulances to match the solution’s timely performance.

As a research and development company we aim to license our AI solution globally to CAD developers and resellers enabling:

Enabling the operators with unique tooling that:

  • Substantially enhanced performance of emergency service operators,
- improved patient wellbeing and
- reduced healthcare costs (due to faster response) and reduced operational costs (fewer units required).

  • We will train and educate your staff and your customers’ operators to ensure a valued uptake and operational improvements.

Control room operators work in a highly dynamic and hectic environment and increasingly have to manage a response system with growing complexity!

Managing timely incident attendance is very challenging task with a continuous growth of incident numbers, intensity of traffic, hospital capacity factors and vehicle and staff shortages.

  • Provides oversight of the system’s preparedness: “heatmaps” with the available units, neighboring units, incident intensity zones and coverage scores, with relocation suggestions!

  • Delivers deep insight into optimal dispatch decisions: ‘clickable’ unit selection, based on real-time calculations of all vehicles (also with ‘busy’ statuses linked to (other) incidents prior to arrival) and considering ‘time to incident’, regional preparedness effects, etc.

  •
Facilitates ultra-fast uptake of an advanced AI-based solution for both seasoned and new control room operators through a customizable and integrable UIX
